Congratulations to all our Care Workers who have won our Employee of the Month award for October!

Rebecca Ross – Dundee Branch
Rebecca was nominated as she always goes over and above for clients and has great flexibility with business needs.

Lorraine Dudgeon – East Lothian Branch
Lorraine always goes the extra mile with her clients. Lorraine has worked for Allied Healthcare for 11 years and is a valued member of the team.

Rachel Todd – Falkirk Branch
Rachel has been nominated for Employee of the Month due to the dedication and commitment she has demonstrated towards her clients. The support Rachel has given has been greatly appreciated by the branch and Rachel has proven to be a valuable team member.

Amanda Watson – Fraserburgh Branch
Amanda started her employment with Allied Healthcare in June 2020. She has worked extremely hard during this time, and has become a valued part of the Strichen team. She is reliable, professional and always has a smile on her face. Amanda has been nominated by the Office Staff for her commitment to the role, her dedication to her customers and because she is a naturally caring person who loves her job. Amanda is flexible and adaptable and always goes above and beyond to support the service.

Sophie Houston – Greenock Branch
Sophie has been with Allied Healthcare for almost 3 months and has come a long way since starting. The branch is always receiving great feedback about Sophie. A client called the branch to ask if she could nominate Sophie for Carer of the Month. Sophie always helps out at short notice and puts all her client’s needs first.

Cherrie Sedgwick – Isle of Bute Branch
Cherrie started with Allied Healthcare early this year and has been absolutely brilliant during the past 8 months. Cherrie is always on hand to pick up any work should we lose a staff member to sickness and has formed excellent working relationships with her clients and receives nothing but praise from all who come into contact with her. Cherrie was new to the industry when she started, but her professionalism, dedication and diligence has seen her take to the role of Care Assistant with little fuss. To quote one of her peers “She is the most caring and kind person I have ever met”.

Tracy Davies – Barry Branch
Tracy has only been with Allied Healthcare for three months and has proved herself to be an excellent carer. She is committed to carrying out care to the best of her ability and has received some excellent feedback from both clients and family members. Tracy has picked up several additional shifts to support the office and to ensure the care visits are covered. She is keen and enthusiastic and loves making a difference to people’s lives.

Sharon Machin – Colwyn Bay Branch
Sharon has only recently passed probation, in the short time she has been employed with Allied Healthcare she has proven herself to be competent, trustworthy and very reliable. Recently a 10pm call fell through and without hesitation Sharon attended the call. This was a selfless and considerate act in ensuring her client had the overnight care he needed. She has had very positive feedback from her client who has commented that Sharon is kind, compassionate and very helpful to him, his family also value her feedback in any requirements he may need to enhance his quality of life. Sharon has supported a client who has been quite low in mood recently due to his wife being poorly and in hospital to raise his mood with her patience and kindness.

Melissa Jones and Kate Evans – Ebbw Vale Branch
Since starting work with Allied Healthcare, Melissa and Kate have both proven themselves to be hardworking and dedicated members of the team. The standard of care has been excellent and they has built fantastic, trusting relationships with all their clients. They have been key members to the development of a new run in an area the branch are endeavouring to grow. They have worked very hard in covering the run from morning to night 7 days a week until the run is established and new staff are on board to support.

The weather has been terrible throughout the month however this hasn’t deterred Melissa from getting on her bike and visiting her customers each day and not once has Melissa complained.

Melissa and Kate have been supporting with the development of new staff for the run. All feedback from the new starters has been about how supportive and lovely they are and what fantastic carers they are to all their clients.

Mandy Bennett – Shrewsbury Branch
Mandy has been an asset in the Oswestry area, she has gone out of her way with one client who we don’t support with personal care in getting them to allow her to shower them and change clothes.

Sarah Thackaberry – Wrexham Branch
On numerous occasions Sarah has gone the extra mile with the clients and even made an anniversary and a birthday extra special for a client.

Melissa Kavanagh – Wirral Branch
Melissa is a credit to the Wirral Branch. She is always happy to pick up calls outside her regular working area.

Elizabeth Place – Durham Branch
Elizabeth has worked at Allied Healthcare for more than 10 years and is the perfect example of an excellent, professional and dedicated carer. Elizabeth supports one of our most complex clients in Durham and has been nominated for Carer of the Month for the support she has provided to our Lead Nurse, Sue Reed. Elizabeth has supported with the training and mentoring of new carers into the package, reviewing our client’s care plan and completion of stock checks. Elizabeth is truly a valued member of the team.

Sandra Phelan – Peterborough & Lincoln Branch
Sandra was nominated for picking up extra shifts and going above and beyond to support her clients.

Jerslyn Samuel – Havering Branch
Jerslyn was nominated for working in a positive manner, covering shift when others are on leave and working well with client.

Clare Rudman – Liphook Branch
Clare was nominated for picking up additional calls outside of normal working hours when carers have been on annual leave.

Rosemoreen Montaque – London Branch
Rosemoreen has been training new carers and always uses her initiative to deal with difficult situations and is always willing to help new and existing carers who lack the confidence to work with customers with challenging behaviours. Rosemoreen is always happy and ready to provide emergency cover whenever she is requested to and, in some cases, she has gone on to do welfare checks clients who have had missed visits.

Benedict Brew – Sutton Branch
Benedict went above and beyond to help out picking up on short notice and is always at 100% compliant on his call logs.

Joao Goncalves Da Costa – Bournemouth Branch
Joao really helped out the branch when very short staffed by picking up extra calls.

Jane Kerr – Colchester Branch
Jane is a reliable member of the team and is always happy to help out to cover sickness and annual leave. Jane goes above and beyond for her customers; most recently emotionally supporting the teenage daughter of a customer. This involved checking in with the daughter whilst the client was in hospital. Jane has been a huge influence and has helped to remove the stigma in asking for help from Adult Social Care.
