March Employee of the Month
Posted about 2 years agoCongratulations to all our care staff who have won Care Worker of the Month award for March! Every month, our Branch Managers select one care worker who had gone above and beyond in their role.
Well done to all the winners!
Maktua Nicol Wilson – Dundee
Makuta was nominated for her continued support to all clients and providing each individual with outstanding dignity and support.
Linda Nimmo – East Lothian
Linda has gone above and beyond helping out at the last minute to ensure all clients receive their care.
Rose Hargreaves – Falkirk
Rose has been nominated due to the dedication and commitment she demonstrates towards our clients. She will go the extra mile and always supports the branch and her colleagues.
Karyna Markevics – Fraserburgh
Karyna started her journey with Allied in November 2018. Karyna settled quickly into her role and worked extremely hard during this time, becoming a valued part of our Fraserburgh care team. Karyna returned to Allied Healthcare at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic to support the community.
Karyna has been nominated by the team for her rapid response recently dealing with an emergency situation, commencing CPR following advice from Paramedics and continued this until they arrived. Karyna has shown dedication to the individuals she supports and clearly demonstrated her abilities to stay calm and take action when required.
A naturally caring person, Karyna adapts to any situation with ease. The feedback from colleagues and individuals we support has been excellent; Karyna is an amazing individual with a professional, positive attitude. She is always on hand to help wherever needed and ready to assist the team at any time. Thank you Karyna – you’re an asset to our branch and the community.
Ian McLachlan – Greenock
Dedicated, diligent and loyal – three words to describe Ian! He is an excellent employee for the Greenock branch.
Ian is a very professional and a caring worker who is always prepared to go above and beyond to support his clients. He has worked predominantly
over in the Dunoon Service, travelling across the water regularly to support the team. More recently, due to COVID, Ian has found himself working back on the mainland and is already a hit with his regular clients who find him polite, supportive and friendly.
Martin Ferguson – Isle of Bute
Martin is a great Care Assistant and is always on hand to help out where needed. Martin – you are an asset to Allied Healthcare!
Christine Gourlay – Lanarkshire
As a new member of the Cumbernauld Team, Christine has shown remarkable commitment to her role and constantly delivers a high level of care to all of the clients she supports. Clients and their families have praised Christine for all of her hard work and diligence over the past few months.
Jessica Leighton-Price – Barry
Jessica has only been with the Allied for a short period of time and care is completely new to her but she has proved to be an excellent Care Assistant from the start. She takes on board feedback and uses her training to deliver a high standard of care. She is consistently receiving compliments from clients and their families.
During a field supervision the supervisor confirmed the caring and compassion shown by Jessica. She is always willing to help others and has taken on additional shifts to help out. A client described her as a ‘ray of sunshine’.
Michael Loveless – Colwyn Bay
Mike has been with Allied for a number of years and in this time he has proved himself a very kind, reliable and caring person and always goes above and beyond in caring for all his clients. He gives regular feedback to the office if any of his clients require changes so their care plans to reflect the care and support they require.
Mike also works outside his availability when required in ensuring all client visits are met and works across all areas. Client feedback is always very positive and many request for Michael to attend the calls due to his very supportive nature and reliability.
Elizabeth Blake – Dolgellau
Elizabeth has received positive feedback from a new member of staff on the level of support and care coaching received throughout her probation period.
Lilian Balsdon – Ebbw Vale
Since Lilian started with Allied Healthcare she has proven herself to be a naturally caring person and has built meaningful relationships with all her clients. Lilian has taken to her role like a duck to water. She has been a very dedicated and reliable member of staff and during this particularly difficult time has picked up extra shifts to ensure all clients receive continuity of care.
Lilian has made excellent impressions with all our clients we care for, ensuring their care is person-centred and they are cared for with dignity and respect.
Janice Bohan – Macclesfield
Jan has been with the Macclesfield Branch since 2012 and will now be retiring. She has been an asset to Allied, always going the extra mile. Jan has never had any time off sick, she has always been very reliable and conscientious. Clients and colleagues are all fond of Jan. She will be missed by all the Macclesfield team. Happy retirement Jan!
Byron Leeming – Prestatyn
Byron recently supported a client, who has very complex needs and who suffers with white coat syndrome, to an A & E department. Due to Byron’s knowledge of the person he was supporting and his calm approach, he was able to ensure that the relevant checks were completed whilst ensuring that the customer remained calm and was reassured throughout the visit. Byron is very knowledgeable and adapts his support to each person. Keep up the good work.
Jaswinder Kaur – Shrewsbury
Jaswinder was nominated for being an outstanding Care Assistant who is loved by both carers and clients.
Matthew Fleet – Wrexham
Matthew always delivers the highest quality of care and regularly receives positive feedback from clients.
Clair Malone – Wirral
Clair has gone above and beyond to cover calls ensuring all clients receive their care.
William McKay – Durham
William has been part of our team since October 2018. He was quickly identified as someone who possesses exceptional caring skills and currently supports a young adult with complex clinical needs.
In addition to William’s fantastic caring skills, he is a great support when required to cover extra shifts. William is very person centred, caring and polite and an absolute pleasure to speak with.
We approached William’s client to receive some feedback from him and the client’s next of kin wanted it noted that “William is a good worker. He is so patient and caring with his client and his client has a lot of confidence in William” – such lovely feedback to receive. Every single person in branch speaks highly of William and we are so happy to have him looking after our clients. We know he always gives his absolute best.
Stephen O’Shea – Basildon
Steve received the most amazing feedback from the social service team with regards to the above and beyond care he consistently gives his clients, amazing work Steve!
Barry Saunderson – Brighton & Hove
Barry was nominated by a colleague and deservedly so. He has been remarkable, proactive and caring with a new clients complex needs, he has really shone in this package and developed new personal skills. Well done Barry, excellent work!
Julie Smith – Havering
Julie works extremely hard and always goes over and above. She helps at short notice and will cover extra calls outside of her area. Clients give extremely good feedback and has positive relationships with their families.
Laurentiu Petre – Liphook
Laurentiu has gone above and beyond helping the Liphook Branch. He has picked up visits on short notice and changed his availability to accommodate annual leave.
Cheryl Sayers – Reigate
Cheryl was nominated for going above and beyond after coving calls to ensure all clients received their care.
Lee Woods – Bournemouth
Lee always tackles her work with a smile on her face and sees the best of every situation. Lee is very adept at building rapport with clients and has had success where others have struggled. A real asset to our team.
Jane Phillips – Southampton Extra Care
Jane has worked in our extra care scheme since September 2020. She has embraced all the challenges that she has had to face including working through COVID outbreaks and going out of her comfort zone by supporting in a scheme that she had not worked in before.
Jane has made some very positive relationships with some of our most challenging customers and even when she felt really reluctant to do something she pushes herself to help the branch. Over the six months that she has been with us she has made a huge impact.
