Live in care

There’s no place like home – and our live in care helps you stay there. For many people, staying in comfortable and familiar surroundings is preferable to the upheaval of moving into a residential home. Our live in carers can give you the support you need to keep living life your way.

Live in care is for people who need full-time support and 24-hour care to continue living in their own home. But not all live in care is the same. It can be a short-term solution to help you during a recovery period, or a long-term option. Everyone is different, so our service is completely bespoke. You choose the tasks and chores we perform and we’ll provide whatever support you need. Live in care is much more than simply helping around the home – our carers are companions, golf partners and shopping buddies. But of course, they can still help take care of every day tasks as needed, such as bathing, going to the toilet, dressing, eating, taking medication, cooking and laundry.

Our live in carers

It’s important that your live in carer is someone you feel comfortable with. You’ll want to know they are trustworthy, reliable and competent. We don’t believe anyone should take those qualities for granted, so we give our live in care workers full training, appraisals and support. We provide the tools that make it easier for them to do what they do best: care for people.

Carer matching service

At Allied Healthcare, we understand how important it is for you to be comfortable with your carer. To help with this, we will take time to understand you: your likes and dislikes, your values and personality; and will match your needs with the skills, experience and personalities of our carers who will be assigned to you. The profiles of the carers we do assign to you will be supplied in advance of their first visit for you to review to make sure you are happy with the match before the service begins.

Our live in carers will need their own room, with a comfortable bed and somewhere to keep their clothes and belongings. If possible, a television and comfy chair would be appreciated too. Carers usually have two hours off each day or an equivalent period during the week.
