Advice for Service Users
In response to the potential spread of Swine Flu, Allied Healthcare is taking a number of steps to ensure the continuing well-being of our employees and clients is not compromised in any way.
We are identifying those service users at high risk and the Company will be monitoring them closely during care staff visits. We have informed all care workers that if any potential symptoms are detected to contact their local branch immediately or alternatively mailto:patientsafety@alliedhealthcare.com
All staff have been informed that if they feel unwell and that is any possibility that they could be suffering from swine fever this must be reported immediately and they will be asked to stay at home until relevant tests have been concluded to ensure that they are clear to continue working.
Information for Service Commissioners
Allied Healthcare is currently issuing guidance to all workers and our branch network regarding safeguarding steps to be taken to ensure that we are prepared for any heightening of the current situation.
We are in the process of updating our Pandemic Preparedness Plans and Business continuity plan and will be taking direction from the information released by the World Health Organisation as it reviews the threat posed by this flu strain.
The Company will be identifying clients and high-risk service users through our branch network should the level of threat increase. All workers have been contacted to ensure that they have the information and guidance via post, intranet, and text message.
